Hiking Into Zubiri!
August 25 – Day 3
Hi All:
Last night my knee ached and today’s walk was 26 Km of constant up and down hill. I decided to be smart and have a joyful bus ride and save my knees for tomorrow’s walk to Pamplona. I could not walk and climb again without injury. Helen joined me on the bus and we arrived early in the town of Zubiri. I did manage to walk 11,000 + steps looking around Zubiri. It is magnificent as are the people. Today was “Spanish Cocktail” day. I sat by the old Roman Bridge and the stream enjoying chatting with Helen in the sunshine.
These are other photos of Zubiri!

Last night I slept at an Albergue with 200 other people. Oh the Camino nightly serenade of coughs, burps, darts, and snores was LOVELY! In Zubiri, the 8 of us are sharing 1 room full of bunk beds. It looks like the lone Hikingdan, has met an entire group of hiking friends. We will ravel together as long as we can.
Tomorrow, we are staying 2 days in Pamplona and sharing hotel rooms! Bathing our feet, sleeping well, and sight seeing are high on my list of things to do.
KEEP WALKING!
