You Can Take the Guy Out of a Hike, BUT Can You Take the Hike Out of the Guy?

That Question Is Easy To Answer; NO WAY!

I have been off the Camino “Trail” for over a week and was sightseeing. I am now home and it has been for 2 days. I AM IN WALKING and HIKING WITHDRAWAL!

The treadmill at the gym yesterday DID NOT CUT IT!  This morning I went for an early walk and felt like I was back in my comfort zone! How can you go from 30,000 to 40,000 + steps a day to a mere 10,000?  I CAN NOT DO THAT …. YET?

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME AND YOU?

For You:

You can still follow my blog for now!

For Me:

I need to KEEP WALKING and find places to do it, take pictures, and discover wonderful things! Can I successfully winter walk?

This is a start!

POST CAMINO UPDATE:

  1. Angela, Helen, and Alison are due to arrive in Santiago in the next two days! Yippee! I only wish I could be there to cheer for them and welcome them! Instead, I will walk and post from home, because I want them to feel like I am walking with them!
  2.  My total weight loss over the 46 days was; 8.4 Kg = 19.5 pounds. That is about the same weight I started with in my backpack! Everyone is asking!  That was hard to achieve when the Spanish serve bread and croissants at every meal, as well as high fat “ham”!
  3. I am not certain what happens Post Camino, but I am figuring it out as each day goes by!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!

KEEP WALKING!
