UK Day 2 – The Palace

What a Day!

I didn’t sleep well at all, which surprised me because I was so exhausted after yesterday! I did not want being tired to be an excuse for not seeing as much as I could.

It was a very adventurous day today! I left my hotel early in the morning and was gone all day. I felt like Dora the Explorer!

I had breakfast at a local pub which was followed by a trip to Buckingham Palace. Yesterday, when I was on the hop on hop off bus, they told us that we could not drive directly in front of it because bus traffic is not allowed on The Mall. I decided to make my way back and finally see one building. I’ve always wanted to see.
You can tell from the photos that I was excited to see it for the very first time.

The thought crossed my mind that if my parents had have worked just a little bit harder, I too could have lived in a palace! Moments after chuckling to myself about that thought, a bird shit on my shoulder! That was the sign from my father up above!😂

The Palace was sectioned off for an event rehearsal which was great for me taking photos. Once it was re-opened, there was a mad rush to the gates which was my cue to leave.

I walked for an hour to a special treasures tour of the British Library! I then had a late lunch in SoHo. That was another walking marathon.

  1. Great to see your postings Dan but none of the screenshots are coming through at least to me anyway, maybe you should check with other people… Sounds like a great time so happy for you..
