Oh My! What a Hike This Was!
August 4 – Viscarret to Larrasoana 17.5 Km (according to the guidebooks). It was not because it was 20.3 Km according to my tracker!
Today’s hike was nothing but exhausting. We only hiked 18 km in total which really isn’t far, but the terrain and the heat made it very challenging!
It was a tough 18 km I might say. We had to deal with grueling heat, a descent of 4.5 km into a town of Larrosoana on nothing but barren rock and loose shale.
It was a dirty and very dusty walk! It was dusty, hot, and I drank 3 L of water!
It was a REALLY TOUGH DAY!
I am so glad it’s done!
We did pass by a church that we saw two years ago which was built in the 12th century and is in the process of being fully restored. Â It really was beautiful and the owner came out to speak to us and gave us a tour inside . Â I included pictures in this post .
