2 Wonderful Days on Burgos Come to an End: Back on the Trail
Days 17 & 18 September 8 & 9
Hi Everyone:
Our “Camino Family” has really enjoyed 2 nights in a hotel and relaxing in Burgos.
I bought another new pair of shoes because the pair I previously bought were too light! I felt EVERY ROCK, pebble, and boulder that I stepped on. I felt like the princess in the story: The Princess and the Pea! Let’s hope these work!
These are a Spanish brand called Quecha. It probably means “Sucker” in English! LOL
BURGOS CATHEDRAL
I Went to s Pilgrim’s Mass there. It is a beautiful building!
While we were here, the city hosted The Tour de Espana Cycling Event!
I personally found that the police officers were great in assisting with directions! Â Clearly Spanish Police do not sit in cars eating doughnuts!

Our Hotel
I almost sang Don’t Cry for Me Argentina from My 3rd Floor Balcony!
Our our dear friend George moved ahead yesterday. We are no longer traveling with him. We miss him, and hope we see him soon. Â George you are an important part of this Camino Family!!
KEEP WALKING!
Got a much needed gut laugh from your shoe translation. Hopefully these new shoes are good. The police look friendly-good to see you are a DOM in Spain. Keep well. Miss you.
Dan, the pictures of the Cathedral are breathtaking…however I particularly like the pics of the police officer and the riders. Only you could scout out the fit and good looking officers.. No donuts in Spain…Hope your new shoes protect your delicate feet as you continue on the camino.
Take care.
Mirella
Dan,
You look good and healthy. This trip must be really what you needed. All of these cities and towns look like places you could visit again.
Your friend from far away in the land of Timmy’s and the “white car line-up.”
