Hi A Frustrating but Perfect Day!
These are my photos from today in the the order I took them.
What I loved about today was that the hiking was constantly going up and down and walking through tiny little pueblos. Every time I got to a river, I thought it was beautiful. Then I realized that the river is at the bottom I was going to have to climb up to the top of a ridge crossover it. The pattern continued! Add the forever changing weather, and that’s pretty much was my day!
Today I also had a little pueblos every 2 or 3 km, so there was always a place to stop and grab a coffee or a snack and chill while I waited out the weather!
Today’s challenge was the constantly changing weather conditions and how to dress accordingly.
It was 10 to 15°C and partially sunny for most of the 5 1/2 hours of hiking that I did. However, when it rained, it was torrential showers for about 10 minutes. I would have to stop, cover my backpack, put on my raincoat, and  get prepared to walk through the pouring rain and dodge all the puddles and mud on all the paths.
Amazingly, it would clear up again!  I would have to stop take off my raincoat, take off my pack cover, swap to my sunglasses, and then enjoy walking . This went on ALL day for 25 Km. When it was warm and sunny, it was glorious! When it rained, it bloody poured! I hate rain! LOL
UNFORTUNATELY, I don’t have many photos of the pouring rain because I just didn’t want to dig everything out if it’s waterproof packaging and get it all wet.
THE PHOTOS WERE WORTH IT!
KEEP WALKING!
