My Leisurely Day Continued

My Afternoon was Busy!

I was not expecting this day to be all that it was … exhausting!

I made my way from Buckingham Palace to the Tower Bridge and the Tower of London

The Tower of London is an internationally famous monument and one of England’s most iconic structures. William the Conqueror built the White Tower in 1066 as a demonstration of Norman power, siting it strategically on the River Thames to act as both fortress and gateway to the capital. It is the most complete example of an 11th century fortress palace remaining in Europe. A rare survival of a continuously developing ensemble of royal buildings, from the 11th to 16th centuries, the Tower of London has become one of the symbols of royalty.

My visit here was walking mostly outdoors in a mix of sun, cloudy skies, and pouring rain!

The Tower Bridge was built between 1886 and 1894. It crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London and is one of five London bridges owned and maintained by the City Bridge Foundation, a charitable trust founded in 1282.

One Last Surprise – My visit to Notting Hill!

I had always been interested in this area of London and saw that I was not far off on the underground, so I just went and got off and walked around!

Notting Hill is a district of West London, England,[1] in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Notting Hill is known for being a cosmopolitan and multicultural neighbourhood, hosting the annual Notting Hill Carnival and the Portobello Road Market.[2] From around 1870, Notting Hill had an association with artists

The school were Princess Diana would pick up and drop her two sons to when they were really young boys
