My First Trip to the UK : So Much to See

I’m Travelling Again and it Feels Good!

Many of you know that I have had a health issue that made travelling a little more difficult for me in the last few years. I am thankful that right now, all is good and I am back and able to travel, take photographs, and share them with others.

I’m not sure why I have not been to London before, but I am certainly glad that circumstances led to me making a trip here this year.  I have noticed how ttavel has changed in the last 4 years. It used to be much more fun booking your trip prior to Covid than it is now!

I struggled to find what I thought was a reasonably priced flight. Prices have increased dramatically everywhere for everything and the airline industry has not been excluded from that. Your ticket price often guarantees a seat (the crappiest one in biard) unless you pay ridiculous amount to get something better. I am too old. I have my knees and my face for an overseas flight. Highly inflated flight prices and an high exchange rate for the Great Britain pound, has me thinking about how to do this in an affordable way, but see all the things that I’ve really wanted to see.

I have been posting on Instagram and Facebook and decided to do a summary of those few days here before I start blogging daily content.

Day 1 -Arrival in London Heathrow Airport and a Busy Sightseeing Adventure

There is not much that I can say, except that it is a massive airport and very well organized for the size. Seriously, who enjoys waiting for luggage?

I decided to take the London Underground to my hotel. I was a bit on edge because I hoped to God this was going to be easier than the TTC! What an easy public transportation system to use!! 1 train got me within 350 m of my hotel.

I love living where I do! The Toronto Transit System is HORRIFIC! We call ourselves a “world class city”, but I do not know how we can, when we have such a pathetic public transit system compared to elsewhere! The Eglinton Subway is a prime example.

I Checked into my hotel, which is clean with a very small room, and so central to everything!

I immediately got on the hop on hop off bus and spent about four hours getting on and off taking pictures. I finally got to my hotel, had dinner and collapsed!

Enjoy the photos!
