Audrey Hepburn Day!
Tuesday September 15
I Felt Like MY FAIR LADY Today! The rain on the plain poured down on my head! It was a pain!
Today is a miserable, rainy, and the coldest day yet! I had to buy UGLY Rain Pants! The lady in the store gave the wrong size! My rain pants look like spandex! Truckers were Honking! OMG
The Pueblo of Sahagun
We departed at 6:30 am and it was cold, dark, and dreary! It was a overcast grey November morning! YUCK! The town did have a statue telling us that we were half way done the Camino! Â Woo-Hoo! Â We are more than half way because we began in France!
We are now in El Burgo Ranero and it 2 pm! The Rain in Spain in PULVERIZING the Plain!
I am having a nap after my hot soup!
I I have to admit that there is still so much wrong in the world that rain on a Spanish plain in very minor!
Our walk today brought us past 3 crosses which all marked the deaths of various pilgrims. We have seen many since Saint Jean.
I always stop, say a small prayer for the fallen pilgrim, and wonder if they actually died there, or if that place marks their favourite place of their Camino. I also wonder why the made their journey, and did they love it?
It is always a bit sad and very thought provoking to pass these grave/ death markers.
All I can say is Buen Camino to ALL pilgrims!
KEEP WALKING!
