I Could Live Here, But Not in an Albergue!

BELARADO – SAN JUAN DE ORTRGA – AGES

Day 16 – September 7, 2015

This post ifs 95% photos. Ages was SPECTACULAR and had a wealth of history to explore. I am exhausted from the lack of sleep last night!

TODAY’ S WALK

I just enjoyed my short walk today. My Camino friends had a long walk. I began with plans to bus to San Juan and walk but SURPRISE SURPRISE, there was no bus service! I went to the hotel and the lady behind the bar took a break and drove us to San Juan  de Ortega! She charged half of the taxi rate!

We drove by a church built into the cliffs and it was amazing!

WELCOME TO AGES!

Ages has a history and its church is on the Unesco World Heritage Site! It has been established since the 9th century. I have fallen in love with this town. I can not describe the feeling I have. I felt it the first moment I saw it from the hill.

The 16th century church is stunning!

I have become obsessed with this church. I prayed here for hours today for many people.
