A HIKE A DAY, KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY!
Today was just too glorious not to hike! I wanted to do 25 Km, but ended up stopping at 22 Km.  SUCH A GREAT DAY!
I went for my walk in Port Credit, Mississauga. I was able to listen to my tunes, and I took my camera to see if I could get some good photos!
I did get a bit camera happy!

What Was My Revelation Today?
It is no secret that since I returned from walking The Camino, I have been trying to discover what that experience truly meant to me. I have felt a bit lost and not sure what it all meant, People ask if it changed me? I also get asked, what did I learn, and how will things change for me?
I REALLY HAD NO CLUE, but TODAY I DID!
This is what I figured out. When I was in Spain, I just liked walking, observing my surroundings, and taking photos of what interested me. It was peaceful and calming, and uplifting, Today, I wanted to go for a short walk, 15 Km, get out of the house and enjoy the day.
I had no idea I had walked 11 Km from home and needed to walk back! I got lost in the walk, the scenery, the photo taking, and I FELT GREAT! I then figured it out. I felt the same way on The Camino. I JUST LOVED WALKING AND TAKING PICTURES! Not just any picture, but pictures of the things I noticed and liked. Observing my surroundings brought me peace. There was a serenity in discovering something that makes you feel good and that you enjoy.
I am THE MOST A.D.D. adult ever! I NEVER relax, or take time for myself. I never have! Those people who are very close to me know that I have a quiet side to me, but they also know I am very high strung.
Walking and taking photos is what gives me true inner peace. I just love the walking and stopping to take photos. I like looking around, noticing sights, sounds, and paying attention to the beauty around me. Â It was that way on the Camino and again today. I got lost in the day, and before I knew it, I had 22 Km under my belt and hundreds of photos! I just felt peaceful, calm, at ease, and not stressed at all! IT WAS A GLORIOUS DAY!
Now all I have to do is figure out how to take what I have done in the last 2 months and use it to my advantage.
I am just glad that I can say that My Camino experience has taught me how to truly find an inner peace that benefits my body, my mind, and my soul!
There are direct health benefits in discovering what brings you peace! Who needs an apple each day when you can simply go for a hike?
KEEP WALKING!
