You Can Take the Man Out of Spain, but You Can’t Take Spain Out of the Man! ??
I cannot believe that this incredible journey has come to an end!
I left Canada on July 26 and did the following;
1) I flew to Paris and spent 2 nights in Bordeaux!
2) I took the train to a small town in the Pyrenees Mountains in France – Saint Jean Pied de Port and spent 2 nights there.
3) On July 31, I met up with my Aussie friends from the 2015 Camino ( Helen, Angela, Alison, and Sami) and started hiking over the Pyrenees and crossed into Spain. We met up with my America buddy George in Roncesvalles.
4). I have been since and have loved every step! I only hiked 500 Km to Leon and drove to Santiago.
- Tomorrow, Paris for 3 nights, then home to Toronto.
IT CANT BE OVER!
Photos from Santiago;
I am so sad as I get set to sleep and head to Paris tomorrow.
I LOVE SPAIN! ??
The people opened up the hearts to us and welcomed us as we hiked on foot 500 Km through each little town!
They encouraged me and helped me with my Spanish!
Vive Espana! You have captured my heart ❤️! So sad to leave!
KEEP WALKING!

WILL I REACH 1,000,000 before I get home?
Dan, I have so enjoyed all your emails and the fabulous photos from your extremely arduous journey. They are so beautiful, inspiring and at times very funny. With your past medical problems, you are an inspiration to all. You, and your other hikers can be so proud of yourselves. Your hiking journey has come to an end but I can see that your spiritual journey will forever continue. I congratulate you.
Thank You Mary!
I am so happy to have that heart trouble behind me!
