I Have Long and Hot Days Ahead!
August 22 – Hornillos del Camino to Castrojeriz
I left this morning in the dark at 5:30 am. I was unsure about such an early departure,but it was so cool. I used my headlamp!I had been able to hike close to 12 Km very quickly!
The light was just magical for photos and the scenery was breathtaking! I had a coffee and breakfast before hiking 10 Km more into Hontannas.

This is one of my favourite places of all along the Camino route;
San Anton Abad
This place has an amazing energy to it, which is surprising due to its history.
This 11th Century building was once a hospital for pilgrims who walked the Camino. Apparently, they “experimented” medically on those Pilgrims!
It later became a convent. It is just spectacular!

Last night was sleepless due to heat and crammed quarters! Tonight a better place because tomorrow is a 31 Km hike!
