My Adventure in Spain has Begun!
I can not believe how busy my last few days (weeks ) were! OMG, they flew by!
I left for Spain just 3 days after returning from Florida! It was quick and I felt way too rushed!
On May 12, I met 2 dear friends in the Air Canada Lounge at Toronto International Airport and I was able to share a beverage with them and a few good laughs! Shortly after my friends left for Paris, I boarded my plane and flew direct to Madrid!
I only had 2 days in Madrid, but I loved them! I plan to return to Madrid before flying home!
For some reason, the jet lag hit me bad! It doesn’t usually have much effect on me, but I just have had no rest. I feel a cold coming on too! I hope it doesn’t hit me, but I’m not surprised as I have been running around like a mad man!
My AirBandB in Madrid was SPECTACULAR! My hosts, Leo and Mike were very kind! My room was wonderful and I loved my private bathroom! I am returning to stay with them again on my way home!
Madrid:
Magnifico Madrid! Me le gusto mucho!
I had 2 amazing days there and thoroughly enjoyed it!
You all know that I am friendly and chat to all! I met a very nice man, Dave from Chicago whilst in Madrid. Dave is taking a Spanish course in Madrid! I want to do that.
I’m ever grateful for meeting hm and having met a new friend. It was nice to go for dinner with a great person and chat. I think I’ve convinced him to do the Camino.
This morning, I boarded the train for Leon. I met 3 people who are doing El Camino too.
I’m seeing the Spanish countryside by train and it’s amazing! I’ve seen the mountains before but NOT snow capped! I knew coming in Spring instead of Summer and Autumn was a good idea!
I promise more interesting posts in the future. I just need some rest.
Adios,
Dan
KEEP WALKING!
Can’t wait to hear about all your adventures my friend!! Enjoy!
Now that I’m in, enjoying the blog. Keep on “walking and writing”.
This note relates to photographs you’ve taken while on past caminos, which you were kind enough to share with me — used my first Dan Photo-card today! Beautiful. Thanks and enjoy your journey. Roberta
