Sometimes, A Photo Says it All!
I have decided not to write much today. Instead, I would like to share my hiking journey over the last 2 days using photos only! This is what I call Hiking Therapy!
As you look at these photos, play some nice music, close your office door ( if at work ), pour a beverage/coffee, and try imagine that you are the hiker looking at these scenes on both sides of you as you walk.
If you want to take this relaxation exercise one step further, create a photo album in your photos of YOUR FAVOURITE spot(s) from past vacations. Select a piece of music that allows you to simply relax and enjoy as you view them.
As a former teacher and school principal, we often spoke of how some kids needed a “time out” to ease frustration and re-focus. Why can’t adults do the same? A 5-6 minute break to glance over photos of something enjoyable to you and /or something relaxing may just give you that reset you need!
It is certainly worth a try! When I hike or go on walks from home, I take my camera, look at the scenery, listen to the sounds of nature, take slow deep breaths while listening to music in my ear pods. This is my hiking therapy!
